A PROTEST AGAINST NATURE!

 

While protesting against apathy, government officials and elected representatives is common, here is a farmer who protested against the rainfall which has destryed his paddy field.

A farmer at Badagarakeri in South Kodagu yesterday planted his plough upside down in the field and sat before it, a protest to insult the nature!

 

It’s a belief that the rains will come down, if you fix the plough upside down in the field.

As a co incidence people of Kodagu sigh a breath of relief as they noticed Sun playing hide and seek in the sky, between the clouds. Tell us, who can stop this farmers claim that he changed the weather!

 

 

SMUGGLER SHOT AT

 

Sleuths of forest today opened fire at a smuggler who was in the act of stealing sandal wood at Jenukallu Betta in Hebbale forest range today.

 

According to police, the forest guards noticed smuggling activity by a group which was cutting sandal wood tree at 6 a.m.

 

The group attacked the guards who opened fire in the air to chase them. However as the smugglers tried to manhandle the two guards, they opened fire. A bullet hit the leg of one Raju alias Thimmaiah. As Raju was falling on the ground, the others fled the scene. He was shifted to Madikeri hospital.

 

Range forest officers Kumar and Shashi visited the spot. Case was booked against the group.
