farmers who were present brought to his notice that the Chikli water will not
reach all the canal points due to substandard work even once in a year. He also

Pandemonium broke in the Zilla Panchayath meet yesterday as several issues received unsatisfying clarifications and some officials were absent. The meeting chaired by the president Mrs.Chitra Ramesh was dragged to a length as verbal fights broke between members and the deputy secretary about the appointment of daily wagers without bringing it to the notice of president or members. The DS who tried to stand by his argument was condemned by the members who alleged that Bureaucrats are trying to suppress the freedom of elected representatives. Intervention of the Deputy Commissioner brought the
situation under control. The meeting decided to control sale of milk by the private
companies as the sale of Nandini milk is reducing in the district. A member
stated that the customers to Nandini have gone down from 25 thousand to 21. It was also decided to
serve milk in the meeting instead of Tea and Coffee from nextime. NANAIAH BOMBARDS GOVERNMENT;

allowing bureaucrats to hoist Tricolur flag during Independence day
celebration. He said in a press conference her that its a shame that the
government failed to appoint district in charge ministers in the state. Its a

Mr.Nanaiah urged for an enquiry. CALL FOR DISTRICT WIDE PROTEST;
Alleging inaction by the police, the student union of BTCG
college at Somwarpet has called for district wide protest tomorrow. The student
leaders alleged that the police have failed to arrest the accused who chopped
off the hands of a student, Pritvi at Beetikatte recently. They are calling for district wide protest as police
