NOMINATIONS TO BE CANCELLED
Nomination of chairmans to many boards and departments by
the earlier governments would be cancelled. In Kodagu chairman of Jungle lodges and Resorts,
Mr.M.G.Kuttappa and Mrs.Chandrakala, chairperson of Sewage board are directed
to submit resignation to their posts. According to sources, the chief secretary of the state,
Mr.K.K.Mishra has issued letters seeking the resignation of all the nominated
members to different boards. Strong opposition is recognised in congress
circles as appointments were made hardly six months ago by congress government
and the same govt is asking them quit. TOWN HEAVES A SIGH A RELIEF
The merchant class which was perturbed by the governments
decision to take the high way from the centre of Madikeri heaves a sigh of
relief with a change made in the original plan. Mrs Monti Ganesh, member of the CMC, who was fighting for
the cause stated that the originally planned highway is being considered as the
By Pass road. Formation of highway from the centre of the town meant
erasing 90% of business establishments. Built in Easter years the topography of
the town is such that there is any land left behind many shops and houses. ARMY RECRUITMEANT ON
