MURDER ATTEMPT; TWO IN CUSTODY 

 

District police have taken to custody two persons and seized two vehicles in connection with the attempted murder of Dinesh, convenor of Bhajrang Dal at Kushalnagar.

 

Dinesh was shot at by a congress member Mavoji Ganesh on Friday along with his accomplices. He arrived in a TATA SUMO and opened fire at Dinesh from an unlicenced  revolver and escaped.

 

Police who are looking for the accused  by making six teams took to custody the relatives of the main accused Mavoji Ganesh and confiscated two vehicles. Police combed the Anekad forest area looking for the accused that could be hiding there. A special team has also rushed to Bangalore to find the possibility of their stay there.

 

According to Superintendent of police Mr.Devjyothi Ray, case has been registered against seven persons.

 

Dinesh who was shot at his thigh and hand is recovering in a hospital at Mysore.

 

 

COUPLE ATTACKED

 

Police registered a case against Ganesh, Dinesh, Mahadev and others at Kotekoppal  to have attacked a couple.

 

According to police the accused brutally manhandled Kumar and his wife over a petty dispute about sharing water. The accused sat over Kumar’s wife Sudha and tortured her inhumanly causing wounds and bruises all over the body. Police are looking for the accused.

 

 

RAT FEVER FEAR

 

Residents of Sampaje ,Chembu and Peraje the bordering towns of Kodagu  fear that the dreaded Rat Fever is causing deaths in their area.

 

In a complaint to the health department they have stated that two deaths have occurred due to it and few more are suffering from this mysterious fever. They have appealed to the concerned to act immediately to rid them of this decease.
