CAUVERY TEMPLES BY OCTOBER
Around forty
sculptors headed by chief sculptor Mr.Ganesh are giving life and shape to hard
stones at Talacauvery to rebuild Ganesha and Agastyeshwara temples. Talacauvery
and the temple town Bhagamandala are getting a face lift through Cauvery
Prdikara which is spending 10.7 crores to develop the dilapidated temple and
other structures at the holy sights. According to a
source, the two historical temples situated at Talacauvery are being
rejuvenated as a first step at a cost of rupees 55 lakh. The chief architect
Mr.Muniyangala Prasad, under whose direction the works are going on told this
reporter that the above two temples would be ready by October, before the
Tulasankramana. PROHIBITORY ORDERS The Deputy Commissioner Mr.Srikanth Valgadh has imposed prohibitory order under section 144 in Kodagu in the light of election results being announced tomorrow. This will be in strength from 13th to 15th morning. Meanwhile sale of liquor is also banned on 13th. |
