UNIDENTIFIED BODY FOUND AT THALACAUVERY

An unidentified body was found at Beemaakallu on the roadside near Thalacauvery. The male body was found with burn injuries. A mobile phone and a bag containing cloths were found near the dead body. The wrist watch fallen on the ground was found stopped at 12.15 p.m on the 26th. Two locker keys and a cigar lighter were also seen. The Bhagamandala police are investigating.

KODAGU ACHIEVED IN PULSE POLIO

Kodagu district has achieved 100% in pulse polio scheme. The world health organisation has sent appreciation letter to Kodagu district health department-said Dr. Vishwananth Kumar, the district health officer. The Kodagu has also achieved in DPT and measles vacination schemes-he disclosed. The district health centre got 4th place in family planning operations, awareness in the usage of 'Nirod', and also BCG applications - he explained.
