www.homestaykodagu.com website is created by Vartha Communications, Mangaladevi Nagar, Madikeri (Phone: Mobile:- 9844060174 and std. code 08272 ph. No.222157) . The website discloses clear guidance to various Home Stays available in Kodagu and the facilities there in. The site also reveals the adventurous places to visit, bus timings and other necessary informations for the tourists.

The Vartha Communications is also releasing a tourist guide book consisting of 100 pages during April second week. The guide book also includes the information about the statewide important Bus stations. Railway stations and Aerodromes. The cost of the book is only Rs.10.

Kodagu is attracting thousands of tourists these days. But they have to strive hard to get details about the Home Stays in the district. DEMAND FOR SEPARATE THALUK

The ponnampet thaluk formation agitations committee recently met the Revenue Minister Mr. M.P.Prakash at Bangalore under the leadership of the M.L.C Mr. Mr. Arun Machaiah,

The delegation demanded the approval of separate Kiggattunadu thaluk dividing it from the Virajpet thaluk limits. The Virajpet thaluk has the 253.314 square meter boundary area having 2.10 lakh population and total 135 villages. At present, many villages are facing administrative defects which will be set right if separate thaluk is formed-Mr. Arun Machaiah explained to the minister.

The Ponnampet has the basic administrative facilities with the presence of Thaluk Panchayahth office, Govt. Sub treasury, Sub Registrar Office, Agriculture,Forest,Land Survey .Revenue and Animal Husbandry offices said the delegation leaders. Ponnampet, Shrimangala, Balele villages can be included in the new thaluk; before the period of Kings rule the Kiggattanadu thaluk was existed asccording to the memorandum contents. The new thaluk comprise 1646 square Kmatre in total area and 20 villages can be included having 1.15 population- the delegation pleaded. Apattira Tatu Poonacha,Kattimada Ravi Bhemaiah,Puchimada Harish, Madrira Gini Somaiah, Shridhar Nellithaya, Ajjamada P.Kushalappa, Puthamane Ganesh and others were in the delegation.
