NANAIAH URGES ACADEMY TO CONDUCT HOCKEY FESTIVAL;

Former minister Mr.M.C.Nanaiah has urged the Kodagu Hockey Academy to conduct family hockey festival each year.

Talking to this correspondent in the hockey grounds at Madikeri, he said that hockey should be conducted in a particular place each year to avoid wastage on preparing the ground.

He said that all families in Kodagu will not be able to rise 20 – 25 lakhs each year to conduct the family Hockey tournament and academy can come to their rescue on such occasions. He opined that most of the money is spent on preparing the grounds. Grounds are prepared each year in different parts of Kodagu by different families and they get neglected after one event. Stating that this wastage could be avoided by holding hockey in only one or two grounds, Mr.Nanaiah said that Madikeri and Ammathi are most suited for this.

He opined that extra fund raised during this event could be utilized to build an Astro Turf.

HORSE TRADE OR HORSE RIDE?

The attached picture depicts Mr.M.C.Nanaiah raiding a horse! Sure, the matured politician is not into horse-trading! He is only riding the horse for fun at Biddanda Cup Hockey grounds, Madikeri.
