THESE VILLAGERS WALK THREE KILOMETERS FOR WATER!

Around 23 families residing in Nerale village , 7 KMs Somwarpet reminds us of stone age. The villages here have to walk three kilometers to fetch water! We feel ashamed to receive guests in this village for the simple reason that we may not have sufficient water to offer for drinking, even, the villagers say.

The politicians built a water tank in the village with a capacity of 25 thousand gallons only to woo the voters during election. The KPTCL never connected electricity and the tank is a dwelling place for rats and other creatures today.

The village housing majority of the uneducated has many drawbacks. The government has not provided land records to around 19 families, who could not avail any facilities like loan, card or so.

The elected representatives visit this neglected village only during elections, the villagers complain.
