MOILY WARNS LEADERS OF BLACK LISTING;

Former Chief Minister Mr.Veerappa Moily has cautioned the local leaders who desist from striving for the victory of candidates in the Panchayath election to face Blacklisting.

Warning that such leaders cannot claim recognition in the state committees, Mr.Moily urged them to see that congress emerges victorious. Mr.Moily addressed press conference here yesterday and said that the government is stable and only JDs is indulging in street fight.

Rs.3.50 CRORES FOR TOURISM;

A high level team of tourism is touring the district with a project of rupees 3.5 crores to develop the industry.

The deputy director of tourism, Mr.Boregowda,Assistant Executive Engineer Mr.Sridhar and others visited the spots to be developed in parts of Kodagu.

While Sulabh Shouchalays would be built at eight places, Rajas Seat, Abbe falls, Irpu,Nalknad palace and other selective places would be developed with the money being sanctioned by the central government.

THE TALLEST CURTAIN UNVEILED;

The worlds tallest curtain, as they claim it to be was unveiled at Tibetan rehabilitation centre at Bylakuppe, yesterday.

Hundreds of Budhist monks witnessed the 200 feet high and 180 feet wide curtain depicting the picture of Budha Amityayush on the last day of Losar, the new year celebration.
