PERSON HACKED TO DEATH;

In an ongoing fight between two groups, one person was brutally murdered and few others were injured at aigoor village, yesterday.

According to police,Babu, 52 was killed by a trio who hacked him to death as a retaliatory attack. He was killed at night as Babu and others had murderously attacked one Manohar in the evening.

The crime background says that the deceased and his followers tried to kill one Dasappa a fortnight ago and were sent to judicial custody on charges of attempting to murder. They were released yesterday on bail. Hours after coming out of jail, they attempted to kill Jairam, son in law of Dasappa. Jairam was shifted to Mysore in a serious condition. Few hours after this incident yesterday, Police arrested one Prema, Manohar and Lalu in this connection. Prema has claimed that she herself has killed Babu.

PLANNING MEETING AFTER ELECTION;

The newly appointed CEO, Mr.Sundar Nayak told that the District planning committee would meet after the panchayath elections.

Addressing scribes in his cabin, he said that the district has already achieved 85% target in raising fund for small savings and it will hit the target. Speaking about the government grants, he disclosed that out of 21.75 crores, rupees 18.44 crores is already released.

CMC WRIT POSTED TO FURTHER DATE;

A writ petition filed by a CMC member about the reservation for president and vice presidents post is posted to a further date in High court.

The CMC member Mrs.Ramamani has filed a petition before court questioning the revised reservation policy.
