YES, LOVE IS BLIND;

The adage by Shakespear that “love is blind” goes well with these couple that fled their families and hometown at Virajpet.

An estate owner Mrs.Indira Belliappa lodged a complaint with the police alleging that a sixteen-year-old labourer has fled with a mother of four!

According to complaint, Papu, a sixteen-year-old boy disappeared from the estate with a 36-year-old lady labourer, Radha. She has fled ditching four children between the age group of three and 12, her husband and parents. She has appealed to police to bring the lady back as the family is suffering.

IT FAIR ATTRACTS CROWD;

The three-day mega IT fair started yesterday at Gonicoppal is attracting crowd-bringing smile of hope on the faces of organizers.

Mooted by the Coorg Centre for Information technology and Embassy group, Bangalore at Cauvery college premises, the Fair houses dozens of stalls selling It gadgets and equipments.

MLA Mr.Basavaraju inaugurated the fair and called upon the rural masses to get benefited through the show. A.M.Thimmaiah, vice president of Manipal group said that IT know how is inevitable in a world of challenges. It’s a life long learning process, he explained.General manager of TATA coffee Mr.A.S.Muthanna stressed the need to be IT savvy for children to build a better tomorrow.

Cyriac John, DGM of Embassy group addressed the gathering. Backbone of the mela, C.C.Thimmaiah welcomed the gathering while Madhukar Shet proposed vote of thanks.

CANDIDATES OPENS FIRE, POLICE OPEN PRISON DOOR!

In a bizarre incident reported from a village here, a candidate contesting Panchayath elections opened fire to threaten his opponent and entered jail, yesterday.

According to police, M.Velloji Rao, contesting from Kolagadal village threatened his opponent Mr.Baddira Nandakumar and friends by opening fire in the air. Based on the complaint, police arrested the accused and produced before the court. He was sent to judicial custody for fifteen days.
