SAINIK SCHOOL AT KODAGU;

Primary and Higher education minister Mr.Ramalinga Reddy has disclosed that the government has approved the proposal to start a Sainik school in Kodagu.

Though the minister did not specify the place in Kodagu, he said in Bangalore that the project will take off soon.

However the district administration is yet to finalise a suitable place for the school as two spots in different places are identified for the purpose, earlier. People from both the places are demanding school be started in their respective places.

DEVOTEE DIES AT SHABARIMALA;

A devotee of Lord Aiyappa, Harish, 35, of Virajpet died at Shabarimala yesterday. His companions told that Harish died due to heart attack, hardly a kilometer away from the temple. The body was cremated today at Virajpet.

RS. 1.98 CRORE FOR BRIDGE;

MLA Mr.K.G.Bopaiah stated that rupees 1.98 crore is sanctioned to build bridge at Nellia Hudikeri.

Addressing a school function, he stated that the dilapidated building at Nellia Hudikeri is posing danger and the government has sanctioned a new bridge. The work would be taken up after finalizing the tender, he said.
