HGH LEVEL MEET TO DECIDE FOREST- REVENUE DIFFERENCE;

The district in charge minister Mr.Tanvir Sait told that the confusions prevailing in land records between forest and revenue department would be solved soon.

Addressing the Karnataka Development Review meeting here yesterday, he said that the government to resolve the confusions prevailing between Revenue and Forest departments calls a high level meeting. His assurance came as MLA Mr.K.G.Bopaiah and MLC Mr.Arun Machaiah alleged that the common people are struggling hard to get their records set right as both the departments claim their ownership on single land. While revenue department provides land records of ownership, the forest department tries to vacate the owner from the land.

Mr.Tanvir Sait said that ministers and officials would attend the meeting from both the departments. Mr.sait assured to solve other existing problems of the district like drinking water.

POLICE ARREST ONE, CAPTURE AUTO;

The district police arrested an auto driver in connection with the murder of a rowdy sheeter, Bopanna on this 10th. According to police, six youngsters plotted the death sketch and used this auto rickshaw for transport. The driver Muthanna was arrested yesterday and search is on to nab the other culprits. The culprits allegedly attacked Bopanna with two 12 bore guns and swords as revenge. Bopanna had tried to murder one Mahesh of Kalur, way back in 2000, along with two others. Police suspect that Mahesh was behind the killing.

FOREIGN TOURISTS BELONGINGS RECOVERED;

Police yesterday recovered the belongings of a German tourist being robed near Abbe Falls, a day before. Superintendent of police Mr.Devajyathi Ray stated that cash, Camera and passports of Ms. Anke were recovered after combing the area. Addressing a joint press conference, Ms.Anke appreciated the efforts of police and also regretted that this was the first time that she encountered robbers in India during her stay.
