THIS TUSKER DID DOGS LAST RITE!

Two nights ago, Mr.Prakash of Bhuvaneri at Somwarpet taluk had a shock of his life. A tusker was trumpeting outside his house and dogs were barking. His family spent the night burning oil. Confusions hit the sky and the tusker banged against a portion of their house. The wall collapsed.

The battered family thanked God that the tusker left without harming them. They noticed that their one dog was missing. They kept waiting for it. However, a filthy smell near their house alerted them yesterday.

The smell led them to a heap of hay! The tusker had killed the dog and buried it under the hay!

The villagers here complain that a herd of elephant is threatening their life and damaging their properties. The forest department is turning a blind eye towards the problem, they complain.

ONE DIES IN ACCIDENT;

One person died and a doctor was seriously injured as a car driven by a drunken person bashed against them at Pollibetta, yesterday night.

According to police, a car with four persons went berserk in Pollibetta road and caused accident. The group reportedly stopped before two brandy shops and created trouble there, before the incident and boarded the vehicle in a fully drunken state. Public caught the culprits and lodged them in police station.

Police however maintained secrecy about the identity of the imamates of the car. While Dr.Prasad is in severe condition, identity of the deceased is yet to be known.
