SPORTS PERSON KICKS BUCKET;

A Kabaddi player died in the court yesterday while playing a match.

A police constable and vice president of C Seven youth club, Harish, 31 died in the court while playing a tournament at Talathmane, near Madikeri, yesterday.

The tournament was being conducted by Netaji Youth club on the occasion of Subash Chandra Bose Anniversary.

HUSBAND CHOPS HER FINGERS OFF;

A spendthrift husband cut the fingers of his wife as she refused money at Shanthalli near Somwarpet.

According to police, K.A.Kushalappa raised a quarrel with his wife for money. Wife Chandravathi,37 had sold coffee along with her son and kept the money as her husband would overspend it.

Enraged by this action, Kushalappa attacked her with a billhook. As she tried to protect herself, Chandravathi’s four fingers. She was shifted to hospital with profuse bleeding.

Kushalappa was arrested by the police and remanded to judicial custody.

TIBETANS DONATE TO TSUNAMI;

Tibetans staying in rehabilitation center at Kushalnagar have donated Rs.4.27 lakhs to Tsunami Relief.

Chairman of the Tibetal Co operative society Mr.Pemadalik told that a DD was handed over to the Deputy Chief Minister Mr.Siddaramaiah at Mysore.

He also said that His Holiness Dalai Lama has already sent rupees eight lakhs to the Prime Ministers fund.
