SARVODAYA DINA ACHARANE;Sarvodaya Dina to mark the end of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated here yesterday in touching moments. War veteran M.U.Auchanna carried the ashes of Mahatma preserved in treasury in a procession. Superintendent of police Mr.Devjyothi Ray, Deputy Commissioner Mr.Srikanth Valgadh and others joined the procession. Later, all religious Bhajans and chantings were held before the statue of Mahatma at Gandhi Maidan. SALE OF ORANGES AND HONEY IN LH;Speaker of the Legislative Council Mr.Sudarshan said here that an outlet to sell sale of honey and oranges would be opened at Legislative house. Sudarshan announced this after visiting Honey Society, producing best of honey at Bhagamandala. Appreciating the quality of these two products, he said that people all over the state are aware of this and he will try to boost its sale. “SARVA DHARMA KALLATANA”!A thief here used some wisdom and tried to strike some kind of equality in his job. He stole from a church and a temple! According to police, a Church and a Temple were broken at Seventh Hoskote, near here. The miscreants have made away with cash inside the Hundi and jewellery. While Aiyappa temple and St.Sabastin Churches were robed, an attempt was made to thieve from Ganapathy temple in vain. However actual worth of the stolen cash and jewelry was yet to be established. |
