COP BOOKED FOR DRUNKEN BRAWL;A police constable serving at Srimangala was booked for ransacking a house belonging to an astrologer. According to police, a constable trespassed into the house of an astrologer Mr.Ravindra under the influence of alcohol and created ruckus and damaged valuables. A case was booked at Srimangala police station and the cop was subjected to alcohol test. KALA LAMBASTS PARTY DIVIDERS;The chairperson of the state water and sewerage board Mrs.K.P.Chandrakala has said that efforts are being made by vested interests within the district congress are attempting to divide the leaders. Reacting to the statements issued against her by block congress leaders recently, she said that the miscreants are trying to divide the party by going to the press. She advised the leaders to solve their differences within four walls and stop going to the press. DEMAND TO REMOVE FAKE EMPLOYEE;The convenor of the Cauvery Sena, Mr.Ravi Chengappa has demanded dismissal of a second division clerk at the Deputy Commissioners office. Addressing scribes here, he alleged that the said clerk obtained job by producing a fake marks card. He said that a complaint was also lodged at the police station regarding the misdeed. Reacting to the inhuman treatment meted to a lady at Garvale recently Mr.Ravi Chengappa accused that a couple involved in the case was not booked budging to influence. A rasta roko would be observed in a weeks time, if they are not arrested, he cautioned. |
