BARAPOLE CREATING UNREST;The Barapole project mooted by the government is creating unrest as different groups are being formed, one to support, another to oppose. While the group lead by Sadhu Poonacha, supported by Cauvery sene is opposing the project tooth and nail, another group supported by A.K.Subbaiah is showing lenience to the project. The Subbaiah group has called for an interaction regarding the matter on this 18th to discuss the pros and cons of the project. Calling a press conference here today, Mr.Sadhu Poonacha questioned the necessity and authenticity of calling such an interaction meet when the project is already through. He alleged that vested interests are behind the meet as they are fed by the company taking up the project. He informed that no officials are invited to the meet and he said that the interaction is not going to benefit anyone. |
