KODAGU IS A LOVELY PLACE”

“Kodagu is a lovely place” explained Lt. General Ramasubramanyam. After landing from helicopter in Mann’s Compound ground, Madikeri today he had a small chat with the press. Kodagu Youths should come forward in more number to join the Army he called. Now a days the youths are becoming too smart and the interest in joining the army is deteriorating. VILLAGE PANCHAYATH POLITICS ENDED IN GROUP CLASH

The winning candidates separate groups went from Kushalnagar to perform Pooja at Arasikatte near Konanooru in Hassan thaluk .Suddenly clash started between two groups ended in serious injuries to four people. Both the groups used weapons for attack. The Koodumangalur Panchayath Vice President swamy and Roopesh, Lokesh,Kumar and Manjuanth from both the groups ere admitted to Kushalnagar and Somwarpet Hospitals for treatment.Many vehicles are also damanged.The Kushalnagar Police have seized lorry No.KA 12 5713 and have registered a case.

CNC TO HAVE TORCH FIRE

The Codava National Council (C.N.C) will move through out the streets at Madikeri with torch fire on April 14th.the “Vishu” day.This programme is arranged to appeal for fulfilling the Kodavas demands like inclusion of the community under tribe category ,autonomous facility to be provided for 42 oldest village groups, urging for the cancellation of Baraopole, Madandabbi, Theere Hole Abbifalls and Chelavara hydro electrical projects- Mr. N.U.Nachappa, the principal convener of the organization disclosed. Special Seminar is arranged on that day he told.
