GOVERNMENT UNSTABLE, SAYS CHANDRAPRABHA

Madikeri April 13, 2006

The state government is highly unstable and cannot provide proper administration, opined KPCC vice president and former minister Chandra Prabha Urs here.

Addressing Womens day function organized by the Kodagu Congress Committee on the occasion of World Women’s Day yesterday, she stated that Congress with its glorious 118 years of service has produced many parties under its shade and always has the capacity to swing back to power on its own.

She regretted that the 33% quota for women in elections is not observed even by congress and urged the leaders to abide by the rules. Former minister Suma Vasanth called upon women to fight against social evils hand in hand with their fight for freedom.

The newly elected representatives from the Congress in recent elections were honoured during the function. Women congress president Thara Aiyamma presided over the function. AICC member Mittu Chengappa, former ministers M.M.Nanaiah, T.John, DCC president Veena Achaiah and others were present.
