STAGE SET FOR KALLICHANDA HOCKEY FESTIVAL;

Stage is all set for the Kallichanda family hockey, the organizers said.

Addressing a press conference, festival committee president Vishnu cariappa, family president K.S.Kashi and secretary K.M.Bopaiah told that count down has began for the festival to be kicked off on this 16th at Ponnampet.

Four grounds are already done with immaculate capacity to accommodate over fifty thousand audience. Elaborate arrangements to make the inauguration a mega event are chalked out. Parking facility for thousands vehicles are made in different grounds.

The winning teams will get rupees thirty thousand as price and rupees twenty five thousand worth of trophy. Highest scorer will receive a TVS Apachi Bike. Good goal keeper, full back, half back and forward players will receive rupees five thousand each. Military police will exhibit bike show during the inauguration day.

The organizers said that they are spending over rupees fifty lakhs to improve the infrastructures of Ponnampet Junior college where the main matches will take place. The festival played between 217 family teams from sixteenth will end on may 4.

CURING WORKS BOOKED;

Hassan Rural police have registered a cheating case against Best Coffee Curing works, Hassan, based on a complaint.

According to police, a resident of Somwarpet, S.M.Mahesh had deposited coffee worth rupees 11.86 lakhs for curing during 2003. the management neither returned cured coffee to the owner nor paid any amount.

Investigation is on.
