WOMEN STUMBLE AGAINST A DEAD BODY1 Madikeri February 27, 2006 Few women fetching fire wood in a forest stumbled against a dead body and reported to police on 26th. Bopaiah, 60 was reportedly murdered by one ramesh at Gaalibeedu, five months ago. According to police, ramesh and Bopaiah had been to their vegetable garden and Ramesh allegedly murdered the latter and buried him. Ramesh was working for Bopaiah and his brother Muddappa in their paddy field. The incident took place on September 29th. Later ramesh fled the house and went to kerala. Muddappa lodged a complaint suspecting the hand of Ramesh in the missing case of his brother. However, he was arrested by police here on charges of stealing cable. But he had not disclosed anything about the murder of Bopaiah. Yesterday when some women were fetching firewood inside a forest, they stumbled against a skeleton being pulled out by wild animals from the pit. Taluk police conducted mahazar. Autopsy was done in government hospital. Accused Ramesh was taken to custody. FLOWER SHOW AT RAJAS SEAT;The yearly flower show would be held at rajas seat, Madikeri in the month of April. District Horticulture department and agriculturists association have jointly organized the show. The official communiqué said that the three day show will begin from 8th of April. |
