BIRTH DAY OF F.M. K.M.CARIAPPA HELD;

107th Birth day of Field Marshal K.M.Cariappa was held today at his Samadhi at Roshanara.

Daughter of late Cariappa, Nalini lit the lamp to inaugurate the function held in the Samadhi place covered by green rich trees and bushes. Son, Air Marshal (Rtd) K.C.Cariappa, Col.Monnappa and others laid flowers at the Samadhi.

NSS students hailing from different parts of the nation spread flowers on the Samadhi and witnessed the one-hour function. Students of BVB and KV students spoke on the life and teachings of the first commander in chief of Indian armed forces. Prizes were distributed to the winners of Cariappa memorial essay competition.

Singing of Bhajans enthralled the audience.
