PROTEST BEFORE FOREST DEPARTMENT;

Western ghat association, led by Kalachanda Ravi Thimmaiah has planned a protest against forest department on ninth.

Addressing scribes here yesterday he stated that the protest is organized against the department which has not initiated any action to curb elephant menace.

He alleged that farmers and agriculturists are incurring heavy loss and life threat due to continued elephant attacks. The department is turning a deaf ear to the pleas of the grieved.

He said that a procession will also be carried out in the main streets of the town here.

CONGRESS DEMANDS RESIGNATION;

The congress has demanded resignation of the district in charge minister Ramachandra Gowda.

KPCC member T.P.ramesh has said in a press conference that Ramachandra Gowda has failed to address any problems of the district and it is high time district gets an active minister as district in charge.

Ramesh also recalled the statements by the BJP MLA K.G.Bopaiah, who has said that, the district has a useless minister as in charge.
