SWAMUJI INAUGURATES CATTLE FAIR;

The historical, 62nd Jayadeva cow fare at Shanivarasanthe was inaugurated yesterday by Swamy Sadashiva of Kirikodli Mutt.

Inaugurating the fare and a podium, swamiji regretted that the fare is losing its charm as the days are going by. Noting that the youth are showing interest towards religious celebration, he called upon the people to preserve cultural importance during such celebrations.

Cow Fare was held as a part of Gudugalale fare near Shanivarsanthe. Hundreds of people gather to witness the fare each year. Handli and shanivarsanthe Gram Panchayath organized this month long fare.

MASTER KISHAN INAUGURATES CHILDRENS FILM FESTIVAL;

FILM PRODUCER AND ACTOR, MASTER

KISHAN TODAY INAUGURATED THE FILM FESTIVAL. Film “Mitayi Mane” was screened as a beginning. Minister ramachandra Gowda presided over.

Kishan lit the lamp to mark the inauguration in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Subodh Yadav, information officer Vinodh Chandra and others.

Children from many schools were present to witness the movie.

About twelve theatres in the district will exhibit movies to educate and entertain children.

OBEY PARENTS; KISHAN

Child prodigy, Winner of the Guinness world record, master Kishan today called upon children to respect their parents and touch their feet every morning. Begin your day by prostrating before them, as they are God in form, he opined.

Master Kishan was answering questions in the Interaction programme organized by press club with the children from schools for physically challenged and orphanages.

He adviced them to see his movie ‘C/O Footpath which can kindle hope in the hearts of the depressed and suppressed. He stated that children living on footpath and selling papers are his main sources for the movie as their life inspired him. He called upon the children to have strong goals and stop not till they achieve it. Urge is important, if you have a Guru at your back and goal in front, you shall emerge as a winner, he said.


Answering questions from from children with a cool and composed manner, master Kishan told them that he is able to find time for games, studies, shooting and directing. Hand in hand ‘I meet friends and even join them play cricket on the road’, he said with a mischievous yet confident smile on his face. If you have a burning desire to study, you shall hit the target, he hinted. He sang an inspiring Kannada song..” geluvu ninna kaiyalide, jagavu ninna jebolagide..” and received applauses.

Quoting, Dr.Kalam, Thomos Alwa Edison and many others who came up in life in spite of poverty and hardship, he inspired children to be happy and derive satisfaction at whatever they have.

Press club president H.T.Anil and information officer Vinay Chandra were on the dais. Kumari Anushree welcomed and introduced the guest.

MORARJI SCHOOL AND SAINIK SCHOOL TO KODAGU;

Government has started another Morarji school and Zainik school is in the envil.

The district incharge minister Ramachandra Gowda disclosed in the republic day address that the state government is committed to improve education and agriculture field in Kodagu.

The minister spoke after hoisting the flag and receiving guard of honor at Mann’s compound, here.

He stated that another Morarji residential school is opened at Aalooru Siddapur and money is being allotted to improve education infrastructure in the district.

Stating that India is a democratic country with different beliefs, the minister said that the government is functioning accordingly by providing socially and economically strong administration.

Deputy Commissioner Subodh yadav and Superintendent of police, ramachandra Rao were present.
