I.T.SHOW AT MADIKERIMadikeri Jan. 28 I.T. show will be conducted from February Ist at Madikeri. Coorg Centre for Information Technology has arranged this with the coordination of Lineo, Intel, COM pack, H.P., BSNL, KSRTC, Coffee Board, Safari, Scorpio and Nissan . This is the 6th year show by the CCET told its chief C.C.Thimmaiah in a press conference here. The purpose of this show is mainly to create awareness among the localities and informing about the abundant opportunity they have in IT Sector.-Thimmaiah explained. Ramachandragowda, the district Incharge minister will inaugurate the show on Feb.Ist. Various seminars, workshops is organized. Experts will guide. Entertainment programmes also attract. KODAVA LANGUAGE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN 8TH SCHEDULEMadikeri Jan.28 The minority Kodava language should be included in 8th schedule of the Constitution of India opined Prema Cariappa, the Rajya Sabha member. The full fledged follow-up will be done to achieve this-assured Prema Cariappa. She was addressing the Kodava community people gathered at Virajpet Kodava Samaj. The main infrastructural problems of the District should be immediately sorted out. The burning problems regarding the right over Jamma lands and right over the tree should be solved through joint delegation to Govt. by various Kodava samajas-she suggested. Another guest Kandrathanda M. kaverappa, the Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University also spoke. The Kodava language and the culture has its own specialty in the country. the Kodava community has the prestige of achieving 100% literacy. The Kodava language is slightly changing due to mixing up of other languages. The language should be developed with various new literatures-he opined. The High court justice Ajiikuttira Bopanna who attended the function told that the community youth should come forward in various field in addition to the education. They should follow the discipline in life he suggested. Nayada Vasu Nanjappa, the Virajpet Kodava Samaj president presided over the function Many veterans were felicitated in the function. Maletira A. Kaverappa welcomed, kallichanda Kanthi Belliappa compered the programme, Kuyyamanda Kiran conducted vote of thanks.
