9 Lorries seized: Transport Illegal

Madikeri March 11 The 9 lorries carrying hay for transport to Kerala were seized at Viajpet. The new law enforces the restriction on interstate transport of hay . The Deputy Commissioner Subodh Yadav who recently visited the Kodagu-Kerala border area recently, found the regular transport of the materials without any permission. He immediately instructed the thaluk police officers for stopping the movement which illegal.

The sudden decision and implementation has created havoc among the farmers. After drying the paddy grass they were regularly sending the hay to Kerala and were earning some money. They will not get local market for the material. The present move has affected the farmers. The regular flow from Gonikoppal, Bittangala, Devanageri, Chembebellur, kadanur and kakotuparambu in South Kodagu is stopped now.

To protest the enforcement, the farmers under the leadership of M.Anil, K.Rohan, and others have stopped the vehicles near the border gate for one hour as a token of agitation. The farmers have warned the breaking of law if the same harassment continues.

THE CIVILIANS SHOULD KNOW THE ROUTINE LAW

Madikeri March 11 The civilians should know the routine law exists in the country. This will help how to handle the situation whenever necessary said R. Venkatesh, the District and Session Judge, Madikeri He was speaking after inaugurating the free legal aid camp and the magnetic therapy camp organized by Madikeri Lions club.

Venkatesh suggested to avoid stepping up to court , which makes the decision delay and time consuming due to thousands of pendancy cases in the court of law.

He told it is better to compromise the controversial issues through proper dialogue, so both the parties can get the immediate result and satisfaction. The Lokadalath provided the fast decision and also avoids unnecessary expenses. Both the parties can easily settle the disputes in lokadalath-he analysed.

The free legal aid cell facilitates the poor persons to achieve justice without any financial commitments.

The Guest speaker Shrikanth vatavati the Chief Judicial magistrate ,Madikeri gave detail information about the recently implemented Right for Information act. Any Govt. employee or officials should provide the right information within 30 days of the application. In emergency cases the information should be provided within 48 hours. If the concerned fails to respond, then Rs. 250 fine can be charged upto TRs. 25 thousand limitations. If further lapse is found, the law provides to move for legal action against the concerned.
