SUNIL TO LEAD BJP;

After months speculation and lobby making, Sunil Subramani is declared the president of Bharatiya janata party of kodagu.

State BJP chief Sadananda Gowda has announced the names of committee members yesterday at Bangalore.

The strong contender for the post of president against Sunil Subramani, ravi Kushalappa is elected as the general secretary along with D.B.Balakrishna.

B.D.Manjunath is named as organizing secretary.

Sunil Subramani told this correspondent that sub committees will be formed in the district shortly.

SIX RURAL SERVICE BUSSES TO KODAGU;

MLA K.G.Bopaiah yesterday flagged off six new rural busses belonging to Mangalore depot.

Later addressing the gathering, Manager of KSRTC Mangalore circle, Karumbaiah told that these busses will ply between Madikeri and Kushalnagar. Passengers will get bus service between these two towns every fifteen minutes.

He disclosed that the Bus Stand at madikeri would be upgraded at a cost of rupees one crore. Bus stands at Kushalnagar and Virajpet are already being developed, he said.

Divisional controller Vishwanath, Vivek Poovaiah, S.C.Subramani and others were present. Depot manager Venugopal compeered the programme. Nandakumar proposed vote of thanks.

In a breath taking cricket battle, Masters eleven team clinched Shakthi Golden Jubilee cup from Chamber of commerce team.

The two day invitation cricket ended yesterday with ten teams taking part.

Police, DC, DCC Bank, Rotary Misty Hills, AIR, Club Mahindra and other reputed teams took part in the tournament.

Assistant director of Land Army, Gangadhar, Chartered accountant Gopal Krishna distributed prizes. B.G.Anantha shayana, G.Rajendra and G.Chidvilas were present from the sponsorers side.
