PHOTO: PROCESSION BY RSS VOLUNTEERS IN MADIKERI TOWN COFFEE PULPER: HEADACHE TO ADMINISTRATIONMadikeri Feb. 4 During coffee picking season flowing of coffee pulped waste water in the surrounding region creates continuos pollution. This has become headache to local administration. As per the norms and conditions, planters should avoid pollution during pulping. They should take precautionary measure .In Kambibane village near Kushalnagar Some coffee planters were releasing waste water directly to nearby Cauvery river water.The village panchayath has objected to such action.. Many birds and animals which entirely depend on Cauvery water are collapsing after consuming the polluted water in this region. The cauvery water is also get polluted. The Panchayath president had complained about this to the to the state environment pollution control board.Thw board officials who visited the pulping centers in the area have ultimately locked the pulping centers and ordered for stopping the work.. The pollution would be controlled and the actions should be taken and if again same act continues proper action would be taken warned Panchayath president R.R.Mohan and member C.V. Chengappa in a press release. The cows which were being carried to Butchering centers in kerala state were now sent for suitable protection in Pinjarpol cow centre, Mysore. AUTO DRIVER ASSAULTED: 4 ARRESTEDMadikeri Feb. 4 An auto driver was assaulted by 4 accused at Hattihole village. The auto driver C.R. Mohan was beaten up in a rod and is now admitted to local hospital. He is the resident of Sunticoppa. Last night when he went to Madapur for hiret and was retuiring to Madikeri after drop. Suddenly Pravin, Dayanand, Rajesh and Kushalappa followed the auto driver in another vehicleThey attacked him and injured himAll the 4 accused are arrested. In another incident reported to police the followers of auto driver Mohan have also counter attacked the assailants. Police force is deputed in the village to avoid further group clash |
