RECCURENCE OF TIGER MENACE

MADIKERI Feb. 9 Recurrence of tiger menace has disturbed peaceful atmosphere in many places of South Kodagu .In west Nemmale village a wild tiger has killed a cow entering inside the cattle shed belong to Manira Sanju.It can recalled that the wild tiger had recently killed 2 buffaloes belong to M.B.Appaiah of Thaila village kutta, and also killed cows belong to kolera Khushikumar of Kumtur village and Chotteyandamada Darshan of West Nemmale village. The villagers fear to move freely in the village. After receiving complaints the concerned forest officials visit the spots for namesake and no action taken to chase or grab the animal till today. The villagers have warned protest against the forest department.

DRUNKEN HUSBAND KILLS WIFE

Madikeri feb. 9 A drunken husband had killed her husband mercilessly. The incident has been reported in a residence at Chickpet area,Virajpet town. Pani eravara Chukka (53) came to his house at about 10.30 P.M. in a heavy drunken mood. He quarreled with her wife as usual and attacked her using a wooden stick and hit on her face and head.He even didn’t aware that he had killed her and slept with her during night. His son Kavera (23) recognized in the morning that his mother has died and he immediately informed the police who have arrested Chukka.The women left her son and also 25 year old daughte.

KAVERY SENE TO SUPPORT PUBLIC CAUSE.

Madikeri Feb. 9 During sandy day yesterday many people came from villages to Madikeri for various office works were happy to get moral and practical support from kavery Sene organization to get rid of their pending problems existed in Thaluk thahasildar office and PWD offices. Ravi Chengappa, convener, Kavery Sene and his associates stood behind the villagers and poor applicants and gheroed the offices. Thaluk ThahasildarYashoda assured kavery sene that all the files pending in the thaluk office would be cleared soon.She said the she respect the organisation’s democratic way of protest favouring the poor people.The Sene actrivists also protested in front of PWD office and alleged that Many village roads like Balya Mandur-Harihara village roads are not repaired, but the executive engineer pretend to have done all the work.The sene has warned the PWD engineers that it will organize serious protest if road repairs are not taken up within 15 days of time.The protestors also agitated in front of Assistant Commissioners office and urged to give RTC records to the applicants without delay. The assistant commissioner Akrma Pasha has assured the organizers that the RTC will be provided quickly in future.
