IBRAHIM ADVISES GOWDA TO JOIN MUTT;Madikeri January 3, 2008 Devegowda should retire from politics and join Mutt to cleanse himself , quipped C.M.Ibrahim. Talking to this correspondent in a private visit to Kodagu, Ibrahim said that Devegowda was involved in ugly politics to save his sons and joining Mutt is the only way left for him to get cleansed. Referring to the arrival of M.P.Prakash to congress, Ibrahim said that none can stop him from coming. Congress is like an ocean and it will emerge once again in full colour and hold the reigns of power. Ibrahim said that he is not contesting elections and will involve in strengthening the congress house. Congress leaders Siddaramaiah, H.C.Mahadevappa and others were present. They had come to Siddapur to celebrate New Year. PADI TEMPLE REJUVENATION NEXT MONTH;Rejuvenation of Padi Sree Iggutappa temple would begin next month, according to Bhaktajana Sanga president K.K.Muthappa. A meeting held under the presidentship of Muthappa decided to hold rejuvenation programme from fifth top thirteenth February. Various committees were formed to conduct the programme smoothly. Neeleshawara padmanabha Tantri will guide the committee in rituals. Managing president Pandanda Naresh, secretary A.C.Chomni and others were present. ROTARY TO RECTIFY SQUINT EYE;Rotary Madikeri has taken up a sight protection project and has decided to create awareness programme. Eye surgeon and Rotarian Dr.M.Appurao Pai told in a press conference here that the club will hold eye camps to identify Squint eye problem all over the district. He said that Mysore Rotary West, Rotary Fund, Rotary France and other organizations will join in the project and fund the operations to be conducted free of cost. He said that the Squint eye problem should be treated early and the patients may lose their eye if neglected. DDPI Mohamed basher, DHO Rangaiah, Rotary president sadashiv, Suresh Chengappa was present. |
