RE-CONSECRATION OF TEMPLES POSTPONED

The re-consecration work of Bhagandeshawara temple at Bhagamandala is postponed.

In a meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Niranjan yesterday, the rejuvenation committee decided to postpone the date as the re construction works are still under progress.

Earlier in the past meeting, the committee had decided to hold thirteen day pooja, ‘annadan’ and other rituals in the month of April.

Committee working president Matanda Monnappa and others were present.

VOKKLIGAS TO BUILD EDUCATION CENTRE;

Somwarpet taluk Vokkaligas will build an education centre at a cost of rupees 1.5 crore.

Foundation stone was laid for the complex yesterday near Shanivarsanthe in a campus of 3.5 acres.

President of Bangalore Vokkaligara Sanga, Dr.Vittala unveiled the foundation stone and assured assistance for the construction. Former minister and MLC Ramachandra Gowda spoke on the occasion and said that he will provide rupees one crore from his quota.

Former MLA B.A.Jivijaya spoke on the occasion and said that Vokkaligas should fight unitedly and come up in the society. Former MLA Appachu ranjan said that a man has to give atlest twenty percent of his earning to the society and lead an apolitical life for its development. Film actor jai Jagadish, former ZP chairperson Chandrakala and others spoke on the occasion.
