WAR AGAINST COMMUNAL FORCEMadikeri March 24 We declare war against communal force in Karnataka-declared Basavaraju Devaru,the seer of Revanasiddeshwara Mutt..He was inaugurating the function organized by state backward caste association and, state Pragathipara associations in Gandhimaidan,Madikeri today. The meeting was convened to protest the recent incident of Hindu organizations forcibly made Dwarakanath,the state backward commission chairman to drink Cauvery water in Madikeri. Basavaraju Devaru while continuing his speech has questioned the mentality of Hindu organizations’ to their theme of protecting only cows and not any other animals. Why should they keep quiet about protecting other animals? he questioned..When we cirticise the imbalance attitude of Hindu sangh parivar we have to face life threatening from them disclosed Basavaraju Devaru. Ex.M.L.C A.KSubbiah in his speech told that Thirthodbhava in Thalacauvery and Makara Jyothi in Shabarimalai are bogus and not at all factual happenings. Purohits create such things to be believed by innocent people-he analyzed. He criticised that Hindu parivar has murdered Gandhiji.He recalled that in Somwarpet the sangh parivar had created the Pakisthan flag hoisting issue and also they have instigated communal clash taking Palur Harishchandra tempe issue in Kodagu. But he expressed his satisfaction that after he opposed all these issues boldly with the help of non communal forces the burning issues were calmed down. YOUNGER BROTHERS MURDER ELDERMadikeri March 25 Two younger brothers joined together mercilessly murdered their elder brother in Menasa Bettadalli village near Shanivarasanthe. The property dispute is the route cause. One brother surrendered after the incident and another one is absconding according to Shanivarasanthe police who are instigating. Appa Nagesh (48 ) is the victim. The accused Natesh has been surrendered to police Dinesh is out of seen. police are searching. Both the accused attacked their elder brother Appa Nagesh in the land property area where Appa Nagesh was getting ready to cut the silver trees as per the court order. The property dispute is still pending in the court Meanwahile court had granted permission to cut the silver trees in 65 cents of land belong to the deceased. Nagesh had went with 5 other labourers for this work. Meanwhile two brothers Natesh and Dinesh were secretly watching the activities of Appa Nagesh and swiftly attacked him with weapons. MADIKERI CMC WARDS TO CONTINUE FOR THE TERMMadikeri March 24 The high court has allowed 31 wards in Madikeri town to continue for the term and instructed the aGovt. to reduce 31 wards to 23 as per the norms for the next CMC elections. Chami a writ petitioner had earlier questioned the announcement of result for the 31 wards which is illegal as per the Municipal act. Compared to population the Madikeri City Municipal limits should have the legality of having 23 wards; but the Govt. had conducted elections for 31 seats on the basis of recommendations by Kodagu district administration. Justice Ashok Inchigeri after detailed hearing passed judgment that on the legal basis the enhancement of wards should not have happened. However, already election held and declared involving huge money for the elections. Considering this, the justice had allowed the 31 councilors to continue as public elected representatives till the end of the present term and to conduct next elections for 23 wards only. The judgment has noticed the civic problem of unnecessary delay in the formation of elected administrative board and also the extra expenses if the re election is declared . When contacted, the deputy commissioner K.R.Nirnajan told that the elections for president and vice president post which was earlier postponed on the legal grounds will be now held at the earlier through the circular, HINDU ORGANISATIONS CONDEMN THE INSTIGATIONSMadikeri March 25 Hindu orgonisations condemn the instigative speech hy Pragathipara and backward caste associations at Madikeri yesterday. K.G.Bopaiah ex M.L.A, Chi.Na Somesh, the VHP Kodagu wing secretary, M.P.Sunil Subramani the district BJP president in a joint statement criticised the comments made by the other leaders. They criticised A.K.Subbiah’s comment about the Cauvery Thirthodbhava and makara Jyoyji. A.K.Subbiah in his speech has called these divine faith are false and are created by the Archak community. Bopaiah urged criminal action against the leaders who criticised Hinduism. He demanded action against them under section 153(A) for hurting the feelings of Hindu community. |
