PRAMOD MUTHALIK IN MADIKERI PRISON

Madikeri Feb.1: Shri Ram sena leader Pramod muthalik was brought to Madikeri central prison on Jan.31st night at 11-45 P.M.The will be produced to Virajpet court on 2nd Feb.Muthalik face a criminal case pending in Gonikoppal station since 2003. During the year it as alleged hat Muthalik had made provocative speech in Hindu Samajotsav at Gonikoppal, thus instigating the mass against another community. On Jan.30th, Gonikoppal police went to Mangalore to take Muthalik into their custody. However, the court didn’t gave permission. Police have handed over a body warrant and returned to Gonikoppal. Yesterday, when Muthalik was released on bail, immediately he was taken to custody by Mangalore prison authorities under body warrant and he was brought to Madikeri during late hours.

ISRO TO ESTABLISH AUTO WEATHER CENTRES

Madikeri Feb. 1: ISRO scientist announced that they have the future plan of establishing weather auto record centres in Kodagu. They have selected 15 important places in Kodagu each centre will be provided the battery and solar run machineries. The systems are capable of sustaining any weather conditions and they will run on their own for minimum of 15 days without manual support. Again, some adjustments needed after 15 days and the same will continue for further 15 days without any assistance. Each centre covers up to 50 k.ms radius weather and the reports will be directly sent through satellite and internets to Hyderabad and Ahmadabad main offices. Each centre requires Rs. 1.50 lakh for the establishment. ISRO has proposed to commence 170 centres in Karnataka,The centre will provide the weather forecast before 5 days. The farmers and growers in Kodagu can avail the weather reports from these centres through the various growers organizations and can plan their productive activity in the field.The details were announced by the ISRO programme director Dr.T.G.K.Murthy,Asst. director Dr. B.Manikyam, and scientist Dr.Jagadish here.
