CHILDREN ACHIEVE IN ‘BRAINOBRAIN’

The students of ‘Brainobrain’ school here have achieved heights and returned with 21 gold and 9 silver medals in national level competition.

Faculty Kavita Karumbaiah is adjudged as one of the best and her school considered as the best. Three more students received champion trophy.

Kavita told this correspondent that competitive exams were held at Chennai recently and the students exhibited exemplary intelligence. They were able to answer 75 questions in three minutes.

VILLAGERS THREATEN TO BOYCOT ELECTION

The villagers of Kambibane have threatened to boycott election, if the government fails to curb elephant menace.

Addressing a press conference at Sunticoppa, the villagers said that a herd of elephant is creating ruckus in a cluster of villages around Kambibane since three months and seventy five percent of the agriculture crops in this region is wiped out.

They have cautioned that a rasta rokho will also be organized if the forest department and district administration ignores their appeal.

PYTHON CAPTURED

A twelve feet long python was captured from a paddy field at Arameri village at Virajpet taluk.

Farmer Chengappa noticed the huge python sprawling on the ground and tried to chase it away. It did not budge. The villagers gathered and tried to scare it away in vain.

Finally few brave hearts Pravi poovaiah, Ratna karumbaiah, Uthappa, Naveen and others captured it and let it out at perumbadi village forest.
