OFFICIALS HINTED TO RELAX TO EASE TENSION;

Sree Shivamurthy Murugarajendra Swamy of Muruga Mutt called upon the officials to come out of tension to increase efficiency in their work.

Addressing the officials exclusively at Old Assembly hall here yesterday, Swamiji said that India which has taught the world the techniques of peace is today suffering from tension due to speed and confusion in day to day affairs. He said that plan and discipline in work will beget peace.

Teaching the techniques of relaxation, Swamiji compared meditation to father and knowledge to mother. A child named satisfaction would be born with the combination of above two, he said. He asked the officials who had come from every where to close their eyes and meditate in the beginning. He said that there is a third eye between the two and God will take the shape of the third during meditation, he opined. He assured that the practice will turn once mind into joyful and people can get happiness even in work.

Equality between owner and the subordinate will also produce peace and one shall become to Jnani by studying life.

The self introspection function was organized at the instance of the Deputy Commissoner Baladevakrishna, HQA Chikkabasappa and superintendent of police Suresh.

TALUK SAHITYA SAMMELAN AT KUSHALNAGAR

Taluk kannada Sahitya Sammelan would be held at Kushalnagar on this eleventh.

President of the district kannada sahitya parishath, T.P.Ramesh said that the second taluk sammelan, after Virajpet taluk is organized at Kushalnagar. U.S.Sridhara Aradhya is chosen as the president and professor Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the sammelan. District in charge minister Krishna Palemar will release the souvenir and K.Sachidanandaiah will address the gathering.

DIES IN BIKE MISHAP

One person was killed and another injured as the bike they were riding hit a pole.

The incident is reported from Tyagathur near Siddapur. A mechanic Suresh was riding the bike with one Pradip at his back. Suresh received severe injury on head as the bike hit an electric pole. He died at the hospital. Pillion rider Pradip is shifted to hospital with major injuries.

Siddapur police have registered a case.
