BATTLE RAGES AT MUKKODLU; BRITISH KILL INDIAN KING!Mamooty shoots multi crore movie at Kodagu Madikeri January 20 Rupees fifteen crore mega Malayala movie “Keralavarma Palaji Raja” is being shot in the surrounding of Kodagu since two months. Yesterday, the climax of the movie, the King, Palaji Raja being killed by British in their Fort built on top of Mukkodlu hills was shot. Old guns, horses, clash of swords and rifles turned the silent valleys of Kodagu into vibrating zones. Starred by Mamooty, Suresh Krishna, Manoj K.Jain, Sharath Kumar, padmapriya and others, the movie was directed by the director of international repute Hariharan. The 1797 historical story was written by Vasudevan nair. The cinema team expects to create history and break records by winning awards. The villagers around Mukkodlu had a fascinating time watching the Kerala King surrounding the British palace “Panamara Kote” from all sides. Though the British lost grounds, they succeeded in killing the King! TIGER KILLS COW; A tiger has killed a cow at South kodagu in the wee hours of Monday. Chokira M.Poonaiah has lodged a complaint with the police and forest department stating that a tiger attacked his three year old cow in its shed in the wee hours and made away with it. The cow was pulled from the shed along with its nylon rope and taken to a distance. Feasting over it, the tiger has left the remains on the ground. Poonaiah stated that he had noticed the movements of the tiger during day time around his house and did not venture out at night, even though the cow was making noise during the attack. RFO nagaraj and police rushed to the spot. The range forest officer told that the permission to cage the tiger has lapsed and he will write to the higher ups for permission to do so and the tiger would be caught. |
