SON KILLS FATHER

In a bizarre incident, a son killed his father over property feud at Perur village yesterday.

Tekkada Erappa allegedly beat his father Poovappa to death over a quarrel. Poovappa died on the spot at his house. According to neighbors, the father and son often use to fight over family matters.

Napoklu police have arrested the accused.

STUDENT KIDNAPPED FOR RANSOM;

A fifth standard student was kidnapped by a laborer for ransom at Kirgur near Gonicoppa.

According to police, a resident of Holenarasipur, Gandhi was working with Cheppudira Ponnappa since few months and suspected to be the accused. His son Aiyapa, studying at Appachakavi School at Ponnampet was kidnapped by the accused from the school on 7th. He is demanding rupees forty thousand to release the boy. According to Ponnappa, accused Gandhi was demanding rupees forty thousand earlier for a medical treatment. He had threatened to kill his son, if he refuses to give him cash.

Police are investigating.
