KODAGU LAD DIES AT UPPINANGADI

A lad from Kodagu died at Uppinangadi while swimming in a river.

According to police, Koushik, 18 was studying at Mangalore and had been to his relative’s house at Bantwala. Yesterday he went to Netravathi River at Uppinangadi along with his relatives. He was caught by a whirlwind and died on the spot.

Fire brigade frisked the body away. Cremation will take place today at Kopatti, his native in Kodagu.

VIP WEDDING AT CLUB MAHINDRA

Kodagu is flooded with VIPs from all over, including foreign nationals to attend the Hi Fi wedding of the Mahindra and Mahindra family.

Shastra, a niece of Anand Mahindra, vice chairman and managing director of the Mahindra and Mahindra is getting married to an industrialist Nishant in the posh premises of Club Mahindra Holiday Resort at Madikeri.

The two day wedding has begun today and unnamed VIPs including cine stars have studded Madikeri. As a part of the marriage celebration, LUNGI CRICKET was held today between the bride and grooms side.

BOY CHETS AT ATM

An incident of a boy cheating a mother and daughter of rupees fifteen thousand is reported from Somwarpet.

According to a complaint, Saroja, a resident of Nagarur village and her daughter were standing in front of the SBI ATM center at Somwarpet yesterday. A boy appeared before them and offered assistance. The lady handed him over the card and told the password.

The boy withdrew cash and casually walked out with the pretext of talking over telephone and disappeared.

A complaint was lodged with the police. Police have released the picture of the cheat captured by the CC camera attached at the ATM to media to trace him.
