WIFE KILLS HUSBAND; police solve the caseMadikeri February 9, 2010 The case of the servant’s death in a councilor’s house here yesterday turned out to be murder. Speedy investigation by the police revealed that the wife cut her husbands throat along with her lover to flee with him. Mother of two, Deena, 30 had married Prasanna 38, fifteen years ago. It was a love marriage. They begot two children. But Deena changed her faith and began to love a bachelor Rakesh, 24 as they were working together in a resort. This fuelled difference among the couple and the husband was objecting to their meeting. Deena agreed that she developed illicit relationship with Rakesh and the resort owner sent her out. The couple along with their two children joined another Home stay run by a councilor Unnikrishna recently here. According to police, the couple had a fight on Monday night. The wife hatched a plan to finish him. The husband Prasanna went out and returned fully drunk. He reportedly had drink again at home and dozed off. Deena’s lover Rakesh arrived around 11 am after receiving a sms from her to come, along with a bill hook and cut the neck of Prasanna and returned silently. The Town police sub inspector Durga and her team busted the mystery of death within twenty four hours and arrested the duo. CONGRESS STAGE PROTESTThe district congress members along with people’s representatives today staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioners office condemning the BJP administration in the state and handed a memorandum to the Deputy commissioner Aswathnarayana Gowda. The protest was held with DCC president Veena Achaiah, MP Vishwanath, MLC T.John, former MLC Arun machaiah, former ministers Suma vasanth, M.M.Nanaiah, KPCC member Mittu Chengappa in the lead. MP Vishwanath said that the protest was held with a slogan “save Karnataka from the grips of BJP”. The memorandum condems the BJPs faileure in curbing attack against Church, its support to Hindu organizations preparing communal agenda, showing disrespect to the Governor. They have appealed to the Governor through the memorandum to solve the problems of Kodagu which are not addressed by BJP government. Later, the offices of M.P Vishwanath and MLC T.John were opened. |
