KEROSENE HAUL IN A VILLAGE!

While it’s a common sight in villages to cry for kerosene, here is a village where people began to cry as kerosene began to pour through their drinking water taps! Added to the plight, a school conducting an annual function also experienced the pinch in the same village. Some miscreants had added kerosene to the water tank of the village and the school.

The incident occurred at Yadavanadu village near Kudige recently. The main water tank of the village supplying water to about two hundred families was polluted with kerosene. The houses one after another began to complain about the smell and started to look for fresh water elsewhere. The village stopped water supply for two days and cleaned the huge tank and resumed supply. Just a three days ago, the government school celebrated annaual function. The cooks who had gone there found out that kerosene was mixed into the school tank. Luckily the hundred odd students did not use the water as it was found out early.

The Gram Panchayath member B.M.Ramesh told this correspondent that the miscreants have created havoc with a dirty intention and they have performed a pooja in the temple to punish the guilty, yesterday!

The result has to be awaited!!
