PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD TO D.F.O

Madikeri March 27: A govt. officer along with all his official duties has cultivated hobby of photography which has yielded him with world level award. He is one of the awardee out of 11 best photographers selected by the Royal photographic society,London. .Further his name is proposed for FRPS fellowship also. Three names were proposed along with Vijayakumar by the ARPS society from India including, Manojkumar of north India and Pradeepkumar Rangaiah of Karnataka.

Vijayakumar has clicked about two thousand photos of various birds in various positions. Out of this, the experts have selected 15 eye-catching photos of Vijaykumar for award consideration..While speaking to “scribes” he told that he was inspired by the photographic interest shown by some foreigners in Dandeliforest area when they were interestingly clicking photos of various birds. He was working in Dandely during 2001.

He has 70 D cannon camera of 100x400 image stabilization technology.Hailing from Chitrdurga district Vijayakumar expressed his happiness that he is obtaining the award while he is in Kodagu,the district of forest and best environmental background..
