RAILWAY LINE TO KODAGU: MINISTER ASSURES

Madikeri Dec. 31: Kodagu district will soon get railway line- assured the railways state Minister K.H. Muniyappa.

He was formally speaking to press after performing poojas in Bhagamandala-thalacauvery piligrim centres today.

He recalled the attempt by ex. Minister Janardhana poojari , M.P.Vishwwanath and he continued that work to fulfill the dream of Kodagu people. The Mysore-Kushlanagr 110 K.ms railway line pre survey will be conducted and after the report, the railway line will be launched- minister told.

After his visit to thalacauvery the minister went to Kushalnagar where he launched the railway line survey work. He also inaugurated India post passenger reservation centre at Kushalnagar post office established by south western railways. The first reservation counter is working in Madikeri and this is the second counter in the district. Minister’s wife Nagarathna,son in law Shahsidhar, Member of parliament A.H.Vishwanath and others were present.
