WILD TIGER ATTACK RECCUREDMadikeri Jan. 6: The wild tiger which created havoc in Kanoor, Shrimangala, T.Shettigeri and Hudikeri villages in South Kodagu two months back killing the cows and calves has re entered another village Birunani since three days. The wild tiger attacked three buffaloes today morning belong to karthamada C.Harish while grazing on the ground near his estate and injured them. Hearing the panic cry Harish rushed to the spot and boldly chased the tiger. The animal ran towards nearby forest area. Veterinary doctor B.G.Girish is treating the injured buffalos. Harish face bad days and his coffee estate were ruined by wild elephants yesterday night and his pet animals were today attacked by wild tiger. Shrimangala range forest officer Shrinivas naik visited the spot and told that the movement of the tiger will be watched by team of forest guards. In the same village it is reported that two calves belong to Binnu Bheeamaiah and Chottangada Ranji pooviaiah are missing from the cowshed since two days and it is suspected that they might have become prey for tiger. |
