TIGER ATTACK CONTINUESMadikeri January 9, 2012 The tiger which attacked three buffaloes on Friday has claimed the life of a cow on Saturday night. The incident occurred at Netkundh near Birunani in South kodagu. The owner Chottanga Rohith told that he found the carcass of his cow on the night of Saturday at its shed. The tiger had left the half eaten body of the cow. People in South Kodagu are anxious as the tiger which had claimed several lives if live stock a couple of months ago and disappearing has re surfaced. It can be recalled that the people had stage several protests earlier and the forest department had kept many bones to capture it, after the state government took up the issue seriously. DIES IN MISHAPA retired soldier died due to accident in a hospital yesterday. Mapanamada Urs, 58 was grievously injured in a Scooter - bike accident last week at Toochamakeri. His scooter was bashed by a motorbike. He was shifted to a Mysore hospital and he succumbed to injuries yesterday. The bike rider Ajith was also hospitalized and is said to be recovering. The deceased leaves wife and two daughters. |
