GHASTLY DEATH OF AN ESTATE WORKERMadikeri January 25: A married woman working in a work place entered a ghastly death today at Beekalli near Shanivarsanthe. According to police, Manjula aged 40 years was working in the coffee estate of one karunakar. They were separating paddy and dust by using the power tiller fan. Manjula’s saree got entangled to the fan and she was pulled between the belts. Instantly Manjula’s body was cut into two as her head and body got separated with the pressure of the running belt. Onlookers said that her head portion was thrown to a distance and fell after hitting the wall. Manjula hails from Mallipatna in Arakalgod taluk. Her husband Ramesh lodged a complaint with the police. He stated that Manjula had lost a gold jewelerry yesterday in the work place and she was fasting, pained by the incident. She thought that she saw some glittering object in the dust today during the work and she bent down to pick it as the incident occurred. He has said that his wife died due to the negligence of the estate owner and the owner of the power tiller. Police officers visited the spot and registered a case under section 304IPC. WIFE KILLED BY HUSBANDMadikeri Jan. 25: The boozing husband killed his wife in Adigundi forest limits near Balele village yesterday night. Jenukurubara lakhmi (52) was stabbed by her husband Gante while he lost his mental balance after heavy boozing in his house. .Local people informed police today and Sub inspector Subramanya has arrested the accused husband Gante and he has been remanded to judicial custody. The dead body of the homemaker is handed over to her relations for conducting final rites after post mortem. CAR ACCIDENT: 1 DIEMadikeri Jan. 25: A person belongs to kerala state died in a car accident occurred yesterday midnight in Boikeri village near here. The wagon-R car was driven from Manjeswara, Kerala state and was moving towards Mandya via Madikeri and during yesterday midnight, the car driver lost control and hit the road side edge and driver Adam kunji(50) died on the spot..Another person Abdul Razak was seriously injured and was admitted to Mysore hospital. The rural inspector Satishkumar visited the spot. |
